Why do you do what you do?

I heard Erwin McManus tell a story once.

He asked his wife why she cuts the end of the roast off before she puts it in the pan. Her response was, "My mother always did it that way". So Erwin asks her mother why she cuts the end of the roast off before she puts it in the pan. Her response was, "My mother always did it that way". Why do you do the things you do? Is it because you are being led by God to do something or is it because that is the way it was modeled to you? Be who God wants you to be and do what God wants you to do. Leave the rest to Him. He's better at it anyway!
